One of the first things we learned when we started our business is that a great photo session starts long before the camera comes out. It starts with the location. And when you're working in a metroplex as massive as Dallas-Fort Worth, the number of options can be just as exciting as it is overwhelming not only for us but for our clients as well.
Instead of just showing up to popular spots and hoping for the best, we were going to do the legwork ourselves. We spent weekends driving across the metroplex from Irving to McKinney, Grapevine to Fort Worth, and all across Dallas scouting locations at different times of day and figuring out which settings work best for different types of sessions. We walked the trails, found the hidden corners, tested the angles, and took note of the little details that make a location truly shine on camera.
It became one of the most rewarding parts of building this business together. As a husband and wife team, those scouting trips doubled as adventures for us. We'd grab coffee, hit the road, and explore somewhere new. Some spots blew us away immediately like the European-inspired architecture at Adriatica Village in McKinney or the Venetian canal vibes at Mandalay Canal in Irving. Others surprised us over time, like how the rocky shoreline at Rockledge Park in Grapevine completely transforms at golden hour as pictured above.
After all of that scouting, we realized we had built up something really valuable not just for us, but for the people booking with us. That's when we decided to turn it all into a location guide right on our website. We wanted to take one of the most stressful parts of planning a photo session off your plate. Whether you're browsing our work and haven't booked yet, or you've already locked in your date and need to pick a spot, our location guide gives you a visual preview of each location so you can find the setting that feels most like you. Want something romantic and European? We've got it. Prefer a nature-filled escape with trails and wildflowers? It's in there. Looking for that classic Dallas skyline backdrop? Covered.
We're always adding to the guide as we discover new spots, but right now it features 15 hand-picked locations spanning Irving, Dallas, McKinney, Grapevine, Plano, and Fort Worth each one personally visited and vetted by us.
If you're thinking about booking a session or just want to get inspired, check out our full location guide on our website under "Information" and if you see a spot that speaks to you, reach out to us we'd love to help you plan the perfect session.
